Ikea Zigbee switch reset

The method for re-pairing the Ikea Zigbee switches should work for all models the same way (whether they are the old CR2023 battery based ones or the newer AAA-based ones that can be recharged).

Reset after replacing battery

1. Replace battery.
2. Short press the pairing button.
3. Test the buttons.
4. If the buttons don’t work, just repeat the steps, it might not work the first time.

For further debugging you can:

1. Got to the Home Assistant Developer tools and search for the switch, it should show button state changes.
2. Go to the Zigbee2MQTT section and check the device state there. The Logs section should show any parining requests.
